Nope, I have an ejector model in 45-70. Just bought another BC in 38-55, for my kids to use. As for hoops, if you are shipping it yourself there aren't any. If you are shipping from your FFL all he has to do is to go online and make sure he is sending to a current FFL. Single shot rifles are not on any kind of restricted list, like handguns.
