    Mold

Mail lady brought me a goody package! Just got my first mold from Tom at Accurate. Got the 430-215C for my 44-40s. If this thing casts as good as it looks, I'm gonna be savin up for a couple more!
His website says 3 week turn around. Today was 3 weeks to the day!

Tom's mold's are superb. Worth saving for, IMHO.

I love the brass, but can better afford aluminum. Iron molds are less available in design and size.
Consider the weight of brass and iron, if you are older. I have all three and once you are familiar with the idiosyncrasy of each, they will all cast good boolits,
    Information not shared. is wasted.

I got the al. 2 cavity. Emailed Tom and he recommended the larger size blocks for better heat retention.
I feel for you, Mach Cat. I went thru the same thing before I decided on the 43-215c. I chose it because 1-it has a huge lube groove for use with black powder(will work with smokeless too) 2-It has a crimp groove. 3-nose profile copies the original 44-40 bullet.

The older I get, the more I like & use aluminum. So glad I bought a six cav H&G 68 clone from MP years ago. That was quite a while
back. He might have made more since, I don't know....

Please be sure to let us know how you like it. I need to order a couple myself but I'm still sitting on the fence.

MP had some of the 68s in stock last I checks from a GB last year and I would agree that they are nice. Sadly, I missed an Accurate 68 Cline a while back. Plan to invest in one some day.
