Question on P-W P-200 Metallic press

There are currently two of these presses on E-bay. The older one has an s.n. in the 21XX range, with the newer in the 45XX range. The older model shows a shell holder "arm" which apparently uses one or two set screws to retain the shell holder while the newer model has an apparently modified "arm" which uses a slotted steel plate with socket head capscrews in addition to the aforementioned set screws to retain the shell holder. Is this a factory modification or is there a design problem which someone attempted to address?

A quick call to PW will get you the right answer. I have three of their machines and have had great dealings with them.

My P-W P-200 was bought new in 2001 and uses 3 cap screws and the slotted plate to retain the shell holders. GREAT machine, and the company folks are first-rate.

California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.

Mine came with two opposing set screws to retain the shell holder !
My Uncle Paul was a master machinist and made me a C coller with 3 hex hed machine screw to hold the shell holder in place many decades ago , I bought mine sometime in the 70s long before the Dillons came out.

I won the bidding on the press that J&G sales was offering; guess I'll see if I like it better than the Lyman T-II and put one or the other up for sale. Looking forward to trying it out; as I have a M 375 shotshell loader from P-W and I like it.
