New front sight for single six/seven

Just got this new machined steel front sight for my single seven revolver.

Nice snug fit and fantastically sharp sight picture. I need to fit it to the proper height but so far it's looking great.

Nice sights are such a joy after suffering with the junk many guns come saddled with

Yes I was actually very surprised and satisfied with the sight picture. It's a big improvement over the original.

I think Ruger went for looks on their adj sight SAs. I've had a SBH since early 60s and there is not
enough front sight on them to sight in at 50'. I've had dozens of Ruger Blackhawks & SBH over
the years and none of them had high enough fronts. I use to make fun of the old Herters Power
Mags because of the big & tall front, looked like a tail fin off a car. Maybe old George Herter knew
    what he was doing.

My blued, serrated sight came today for my Single 7. Excellent all around. Anything you see in my mediocre pics is glare, shadow or dust. This sight is perfect. Thanks 2 Dogs!

I think I need a couple more just in case I get more Single 6's or 7's in the future!
