    my friend 6.5marinediesel provided these


    and I provided what to melt them with...

    Those look like some large wheel weights. If the weights are new couldn't you just use them with out smelting them down?

    That looks like one heck of a score. Any idea on the total weight?

    What He said! I'd be taking a pair of large snips to those babies and cutting both sides off and only 'smelting the center section with the clip. About 75 percent less to melt. Maybe a bit of oil on them to keep the clip from rusting, but not enough to worry about. Heck, I'd buy cutoffs.....

    There will be some oxide on the outside of those weights. It's worth smelting them to reduce that back into the metal and have more convenient size for stacking.

    Nice Score and an interesting smelting rig! Any score that needs a pallet and a forklift has got to be a good one! I'm another that is curious about the weight. Hopefully all of those are lead. Your truck probably hates you!
