    Lee Loadmaster Discontinued ?

    Hi guys !

Was surfing the lee website. I saw in the page of Instructions among "discontinued" products is the loadmaster.

It says 2017 or older presses are discontinued. Does this mean they have an updated 2018 version of the LM?

Any of you guys know the real story about this ?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

How do you discontinue something that already exists? Maybe because it was in the past? Like I discontinued eating after I took my last bite...

Maybe instead of a New Years party we should be having a “discontinue last year” party.

If you're interested in 9mm or 45 ACP, both are listed in the closeout section at a good discount.
    Information not shared. is wasted.

I don't see why they would want to discontinue it without already having a suitable replacement available.

Out of curiosity from this thread I went to Lee's website and looked around. I couldn't fins anything about a discontinued press. I did see 2 LoadMasters with deep discounts because they were reconditioned and not "new".

I can see where you might be confused - after reading that I am too! At first I thought it might refer to older instructions, but the "discontinued" ones have the same part no. as the "current" ones.

Thank you for the verification link.
I have no clue what they are doing. Yes all those products listed there are disco'd by Lee other than the Load Master. Will be interesting to see what becomes of this!

So I asked Lee what is going on and here is their answer:

"No, we did not discontinue the Loadmaster. We just updated the instructions to feature the new Universal Case Feeder now included with the press, so the new Instructions would not apply to any Loadmasters made prior to July of 2017."

    All is well..................

I went and read the new instructions and a lot of added and or revised “instructions” are there as well as the new case feeder instructions from the instructions I have. I still will not tighten the draw bolt as much as they say after having a bad experience with it.

Maybe someone could call Lee, or email them & ask about it, Then post it here where it would likely end the conjecture and establish an "from the source" answer..

Oops. My mistake. I apparently missed that post. I guess it is a "Never mind me", then.
I was wondering why no one called or emailed to find out, as you can see.
Thanks for setting me straight. I will try to pay a bit more attention next time.
