Lee perfect powder messure with powder through die

Been looking at the adapter for about a year. I keep telling myself i will buy the adapter. More molds or another LB of powder always comes up.

Was sitting in the reloading room trying stick i big circle into a little circle. Then the thought occured. Just sand down the plastic till it fits snuggly. Then back off the jamb nut to give it a bit of presure attatchment.

Well, what do you know. A free fix to a 20 dollar solution.

Dont go banging on it, but its secure and stable enough to operate one handed. just doubled my pistal ammo production. Maybe some electrical tape around the stem to make a gasket for incresead security?

I fixed it and i am happy.

Well that seems to work alright. Is there a particular reason you didn't want to just use the powder measure on it's stand rather than on the press. I could understand if using the measure on a turret or progressive of some sort where more than one operation was going to continue, but no reason I can think of where using it on a single stage press is of value over a stand alone measure. In fact it would seem to me to be more of a pain in the back side inserting the case into the shell holder vs holding it under the measure.....what am I missing? Not seeing any time saving move here.

Now i bell the mouth and charge the case in one operation. I dream of upgrading to a turret press.

It was tedious fiddling with the little 9mm and 380 ACP casses under the stand. If i used the loading block. The powder droper on its stand wouldnt be able to reach all the cases. Son i would have to rearrange all those cases in the block.

Now its a little quicker and less tedious.

At one time, BLCT (Before Lee Classic Turret), I used 2 single-stage presses, mounted side by side. I put the Lee PPM between them.

I would take a sized/primed case, flare on left press, move to measure and charge, move to right press to seat and crimp. Worked like a champ.

Then I got a LCT from Santa, and my whole world changed.
