    Question Ballistic testing service?

Just wondering if anyone here has used a service to pressure test your own shotshell or slug loads?
I found this private company during a quick search.

    Is it worth it?

From what I could see on their site, they do not offer pressure or velocity testing, but only impact testing of ammunition against various media used for ballistic protection. Not sure what the point would be.

Sorry I thought they did independent testing.
    There's a page on their site http://closefocusresearch.com/calcul...ty-gun-systems
But now I'm looking more closely I would need some kind of higher education just to read the darn thing

They are calculating to provide an educated guess, not MEASURING.

Yes that's more like I was thinking! Thanks Mike!
Would be interesting to send a couple dozen different rounds and have them tested for chamber pressure and muzzle velocities

Tom Armbrust still does it for $25. He doesn't do it during the winter, and I'm not sure if he will this time of year or not. He is top notch, I trust his data more than anybody. Precision Reloading will do a string of 5 for $25 as well, although they say themselves their equipment generally shows higher pressures than what it actually is. I've never used them.

What kind of red tape is involved trying to ship ammo down to the states though?

Ive done a quick google search and doesnt seem to be anywhere in canada for this type of thing.

    Typical kanadistan.

Hello Finstr, I want to see you do well, how about getting a H& R Ultra slug Hunter with bull barrel in 20 ga for around $300 Rossi has two barrel and three barrel combo:http://www.rossiusa.com/whatsnew-trifecta.cfm
I'm starting to love my 20 ga far more than the 12 ga by now.

We did tons of load testing and hopefully can help you win it.
