Old stuff I've kept over the years

I have some old shells and stuff from years ago. I wouldn't call it a collection because that would require intent on my part. But I keep it just the same. I'm not opposed to shooting any of it really. Guess I'm not overly sentimental

Very cool, I love old ammo boxes.

Some very nice old boxes there. I have a few C-I-L and Dominion boxes in my collection, don't see them as much around here. I would suspect you are right about the one shell you show being loaded with black powder as the stamping doesn't make much sense otherwise. Some makers did load black up till the WWII era for older guns and there have been a few since then as well.

I believe that you are like a great many of us on this site that keeps things like you did. It is a reminder of younger days when the days were a little less bothersome and the air was a lot cleaner to breathe and memories that would last a lifetime were made. I have a similar pile of things I have kept for no real good reason other than for a memory.Robert

Thanks fellas. For what it's worth these boxes are still full of live shells.
Do you think I should shoot em off or just keep on keeping them?

Do not shoot any from a full box, it has more collector value full. They will make an interesting inheritance for the grandkids.
