    .25-20 Single Shot from R-2 Lovell

    Has anyone tried to reform .22-3000 R2 Lovell up to .25-20 SS?

    I've got some Rem-Umc .25-20 single shot cases that had been formed and fired in a .22-3000 R2 Lovell. Can these be made back to .25-20 SS without undue case loss? I'm thinking age hardening might be a problem unless they're annealed, maybe not.

    I've made a few cases from the lovell cases without issue, but I did anneal them first, and then loaded them with a fire forming load, rather than using an expander ball. If I had a source of Lovell Brass, I would have no hesitation making it into 25-20 SS brass.
