    I scored on myself

I have a 180+ year old house and had some lead traps in my plumbing system. I updated my bathroom recently and pulled out the lead trap and set it aside for the smelter.

Today I melted it down and got 8 lbs of pure Pb. I know it isn't much...but I'll save it for ML balls. I can't complain about free lead.

If that’s how things were done where you live, you need to make friends with as many plumbers as you can

When I re-roofed the house several years ago, there were a couple of boots I saved and melted down. Waste not, want not.

Free or cheap, free is great and cheap is good. My local scrap yard will sell me pure lead for .30 and WW's for .25, which should make for some cheap boolits. I'm gonna hit up the guy that runs the tire store where I've been getting my car maintenance done and see if I can turn up any free or cheap WW's there too.
