This guy has been after my chickens, put a stop to that with my Blackhawk and the little 74 gr WC from the Lee group buy. Chickens can rest a little easier now.
It's a meat getter too.

That is very cool looking flying beer can, we raise chickens and rabbits as well and coons are are constant nemesis. With the creek swamp and woods all around as soon as we eliminate one family another moves in promptly. The reason we got coon dogs! I get the alert and grab the 10/22 and the spot light; usually get them as they are trying to breeds the fence. I have some similar looking boolits given to me by a serious ppc revolver shooter maybe I should cook up a recipe for the blackhawks.
That is one cute boolit
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.
What charge did you put behind it?
I have that mould and was planning on stacking three in 357 mag brass with some 2400.
I think Molly wrote about stacking them somewhere.
I've done multiple stacking. The first two boolits you will want to size down to .357 or .356 to avoid case bulging as much as possible. Even so bulging will probably happen but to a lesser degree. Then best to use a Lee FCD to insure chambering. Mostly now I just use one boolit at a time. In this load I used book value 5 gr. Unique. Hope this helps.

What size do they cast at? Are the molds still available? Todd/3leg
Mine cast at about .358 - .359. I think there are a couple of mold makers that make this style of boolit. A web search should turn up something or ask in the cast boolit section here. You should get some answers.

I started casting in 1973 when I bought out the supplies of a caster who wanted to move over to swaging. Got his furnace, sizer, a few H&I dies and top punches and his MOLDS for a full payment of $115. These included a Lyman 4X in 358101 which I still have, along with several other rather rare (358093-4X) and unusual molds, about 11-12 mold in all. I found the 358101 a bit of a challenge to get the mold blocks up to casting temperature but once there it performed well. Sizing these babies was another challenge as these just isn't much to hold on to when putting them onto the die, then again when trying to remove them. I considered tweezers and needle nosed pliers but stayed with fingers. I was involved in PPC competition in the 80's and used this boolit exclusively over 2.0 Bullseye. This combination was consistently tight grouping out to 25 yards. Haven't cast with that mold in many years as I still have a small container of my last boolits on the shelf, may have to warm it up again at some time. I also used the 2-boolit load to amaze onlookers, claiming the boolit travels so fast it actually breaks apart in flight. Use caution when doing this as the activity can lead to some rather spirited discussions about handloading.
When I shoot double loads, it usually goes like this.
Want to see how fast I can shoot this target twice?
