I have a Remington vantage 1200 that I love. There's literally no kick and its spot on. I love it for rodents and things of those sorts. It came with a nice sight too! Love how it also has adjustable iron sights. Would recommend this if you are wanting another air rifle!

I have a Gamo bull whisperer "bone collector" that i got as a group buy for a good price in Sportsman Guide. They were factory refurbs however it looked positively brand new. With the light alloy, PBA type pellets it has a healthy sonic crack, almost discernable from a .22 rimfire. I use just regular lead pellets and those stay subsonic and pretty quiet. For the money I can't gripe too much, it was cheap but I wouldn't buy a new Gamo. Its accuracy leaves some room to be desired. At some point im going to get an Air Arms TX-200 to replace it or an RWS Diana. I have also heard good things about the equivalent Hatsan's.

Meanwhile the Gamo and I have eradicated all the sparrows in our hanger that poop on everything. Just using Crosman target wadcutters, you can hear the whack of one smack a bird and in a puff of feathers they are DRT.

This makes perfect sense.the .22 cal. will take care of both

Over in the UK they have a saying. .177 for feathers, .22 for fur.
