    Down and Dirty PC testing

OK so its been a while since I posted any pics ..
This is a quick, down and dirty trial that should answer a few questions about PC
I took absolutely no time to make ANYTHING LOOK good just a test of the powder and bullet cleanliness

now to set the stage .. These are NOE 266-125 HP bullets that I cast over 2 months ago .. They have been sitting open on a cloth shop rag the entire time . Right beside the main door .. so wind, rain, dust hot cold you name it these bullets would have gotten anything that blew in the door when it was opened .. Which by the way has been numerous times.
Gas checks and first sizing were done on a Lee push thru sizer with bare hands ..
Then Dry tumbled with Harvest Gold (testing powder)
    Then final sized
    Alloy is 98/8
Load is 28 grns of WC846, CCI 400 SR primer Hornady brass
loaded and fired over a lab radar out of a 18" Alexander Arms AR and a YHM suppressor and a Pulsar Trail XP50 Thermal scope
used a hot hands at 50 yds for an aim point
Velocity achieved was 2406 FPS and ZERO leading
AGAIN I took no pains to make these look good just a test batch .. 2 plus months of whatever could get on bare bullets and performance was NOT effected in anyway. I did NOT clean bullets in anyway before dumping into the PC powder

PS I got a sub 1" group with 3 rds and a thermal scope .. Not an Ideal way to shoot groups

First pc is after GC, sizing then coating

Second Pic is after final resizing .. No coating was removed

I carry a Nuke50 because cleaning up the mess is Silly !!

I am not crazy my mom had me tested

Theres a fine line between genius and crazy .. I'm that line
and depending on the day I might just step over that line !!!

Nice....I am always paranoid about mine being clean enough after I inspect them with bare hands. I have had no problems with PC adhering either.

I had some 158 gr RNFP for 38/357 that were over a year old sitting in an open cardboard box on garage floor

after blowing out the dust with an air compressor they PC without a problem. One coat was all they needed

I water drop my pistol boolits when casting, dry them off then coat with powder. I do use nitrile gloves to pluck them out of the Tupperware container and stand them up. Other than that I just bake and shoot em.
