today I reinforced reason why I powder coat

was casting a bunch of G.I. round ball bullets for friend.

decided to go back to luber/sizer since batch was small + wanted to make sure machine was still operational

after doing half with old method switched to PC as I couldn't do anymore the old way!

time was cut to 1/3 of old method at least and I wasn't ready to pull what little hair I have left out at the end of the session

I had a star lube sizer, it is pretty fast esp if you added a bullet feeder (I never did). But for the most part very few folks use them for every cast bullet they use..more for pistol stuff.

I cast and lube sized about 10,000 bullets for a friend once ...

    Haha,
I haven't lubed a bullet since starting PC and proving to myself it works and worked WELL!

I prefer Hi-tek, but I am in the same boat. Traditional lube is for the birds.

    additional info:

cast 540 more bullets today mainly to get the pulled bullets into a form I could use.

to PC them it took 4 8" square trays (two per baking operation) to get them all done

about 10 minutes to PC the first two trays and then 20 minutes followed by another 20 minutes for second two.

less than an hour and all are now ready to size

can't beat this with a stick!
