Any interest in a lyman 452484 stlye?

anyone out there be interested in Honchoing for a MP 452484 ? This is the gas check version of the 452374. This boolit with large pin and soft alloy with gas check would be about As Good As It Gets for hollow point expansion. Gas check would allow use of soft alloy that can be driven maximum velocity. Any interest?

@goodAlloy - I only have this one, as a starter. Is this what you were thinking? I can easily modify it all up...

The 452484 is basically the 225grs RN 452374 with a GC.

How about this; Cast dia .453 with single groove and GC, casts at 221gr with WW. Add grease and GC, it puts you at 230gr.

This design with large pin would make an awesome mushroom maker. The check will allow use of 30 to 1 or 40 to1 pb/sn alloy. With no leading at top velocities.

45 ACP, auto rim, gap, 460 Rowland, 45 Colt, this one would work well in all the 45's

I sent an email off to Miha tonight, to see if he is able to put the HP onto this RN. I'll let you know when I hear back.

While we are waiting for his response, what about this one? I needed to put a flat in the meplate so nose is slightly different...

A flat nose is not a problem. However looking for “Lyman Devastator” size HP something around .25” diameter

Ok- here is a wide nose version, I've kept it to 225gr by making the HP deeper. This is going to have huge expansion.....

@nhyrum - Did you see my proposal in post #14? That is a HP but also has a GC. We would have to come to some agreement on 2 out of the 3 being a requirement....

I did not. That would be acceptable. But after fighting my Lee mould, my next one is gonna be a 350 ish Keith 454 bullet. But, hollow point pins in that would be nice
