Yes it's a steel reciever, and I paid like 380$ the biggest complaint is the trigger is a bit heavy. I just worked with a guy to find some lighter springs. But overall I would buy it again

As soon as I get over my total knee replacement on the 7th, I think I'll be looking for one of those. Maybe whine enough to get them to make a 454 with a 1/20 barrel to compliment my 290 gr NOE mold.

Got my new 30-30 henry today and a nicer rifle for the money I have never received. The wood was the best on any rifle I have ever owned and the feel was as good as any. Mounted my scope and it fit the eye perfectly! Put in the lightest spring on the kit I received from megasupermagnum and the change was wonderful. Feels like about 4# now and smooth!! I am so happy with first impression of this rifles quality that I am on a hunt for another already!!!

Anybody, on the .357 how big around is the barrel?
Is there enough thickness there to rebore to .41 Mag?

Outside barrel diameter is .742. Barrel wall thickness is .200. It could be punched to 41 mag easy.

Which spring rate did you go with? I just got in a few from another gentleman. Did you use a trigger gauge on it afterwords?
