Suggest a GC for this boolit.....

I see copper GC come in various thicknesses and I want things to go smooth from the git go.
The shank size of the above boolit is .284 and I will be seating them with NOE push through buhings, either .310 or .311.

Really depends on what alloy you are using and what temp you cast at.

Ideally, cast a few bullets and get actual dimensions.

Ask Tom when you order, but I'm pretty sure he'll say 30 caliber - any of them.

Hornady gives me the best accuracy, others are OK but group size goes up. They are good for close hunting.
    Whatever!

Well, my model seven rem has seen perhaps 3000 rds. over it's life and I think it will respond well to GC boolits. I got nice groups today with it using 4.5 grs. of tight group but the 2400 powder loads at 1865 were not too good.

Yeah, the last deer I shot was about 15' away.

There is some irony that I managed to miss the above "sticky" on shank size/ gas checks.

I have good luck with the Sage checks @ $24/100o they are much cheaper than "name brand", I just ordered 2000 more this week.

That varies from caliber to caliber...and he even may have some different thicknesses within the same caliber.

The Hornady GC's worked fine. I annealed them on our glass top stove. Dumped a couple hundred out, segregated them by cup up or cup down, pushed them onto the burner set on med. with a metal spatula and pushed them off when they changed from dark red to a brass color.
