    Shaft is .810 di.
Let me know if he can do it and what it's cost.
Then I can decide what I want to do,
    Thanks

Took it apart to post some pictures of the rams.
    Diameter is the same.
Looks like the owner cut the ram for some reason.
    It's taped 1/2-20 thread.
Anyone have any ideas on a replacement????

Try CH4D...it's a long shot but you never know what Dave might have squirreled away. Best thing is to call and talk to him or wife Dawna ...they just might have something .

I came across this thread shortly after it started and no idea about the Super Mag. A couple days later I happened into one from a gentleman getting out of reloading! It needs a little cleaning up, but should be a great press to use (based one the things I have read) if I ever get it mounted! I found it interesting that set screws are used to hold the shell holders. They don’t budge at all once the screws are set.

Emailed Dave. He makes the rams only when his stock is low. Not worth it to set=up just for one ram. Makes sense.

13/16" diameter ground stock is .8125 which should fit the bore of that press. The rest of the machine work is easy.

Looking at the linkage casting , it looks as though you can change the length of stroke as well ??

Jack, you cannot change the length of the stroke, but you can reverse the handle to up stroke or down stroke operation. For what it's worth the two I have are both set for upstroke, lift the handle to raise the rams.

I have a shaft sitting on my bench right now that is 0.812" diameter and exactly 8" long. It very close to yours but would need a little machining on the bottom end to match yours.

0.812" seems to be a common diameter for reloading presses, are you sure yours is exactly 0.810? Would the bore accept 0.812" instead? My lathe sucks and my brother doesn't have the lathe portion for his mill, yet.

Let me know what you find on the bore and shaft diameters.

Since I sometimes don't come to this forum on a regular basis, I will send you a message with my email address.

    Sounds like a plan.
I'll measure it again and send through email.
    Thanks.
