    Noe 453-210 rf (bd)

Anyone casting & shooting this bullet in 45 Colt or 45 ACP ? If so, what does it weigh in what alloy ? As cast size ? performance ?

I have the NOE 452-210-RF RG2 PB (Brass) mold. My mold does not have the "(BD)" designation inscribed on it and don't know what that stands for. Got mine in Jan 2015. With alloy 4-2-94 mine casts .454 with the HP's @220 gr., CUP's @228 gr. and SOLID's @235 gr.. In 45ACP I load to a COAL of 1.190 and it's an outstanding performer with perfect function in CZ 97B, 1911, G21 and G30. It's also superb in my Blackhawk 45LC/45ACP in 45LC. I don't use it in the Blackhawk's 45ACP cylinder because it has to be seated too deeply.

Thanks Ed, anyone else ? The "BD" seems to have a different flat nose shape and is a solid.

If this helps. Here is the link to the NOE catalog for the 453-210-RF BD. It has the exact same dimentions as my mold and I got the RG2 model.

Thanks Ed, I saw that and was hoping the cast weight of 241 gr was an error but appears it is not. I want something in the 220 gr range. I presently have the bullet pictured below but it comes out 235 gr in my 2t/3a/95L alloy.Click image for larger version.
