Success probably depends more on proper size and lube than a tweak to your alloy. I drove some 35 rem at 1600+ fps last week with no issues using coww and a couple percent tin. Guessing you will not have problems as long as you get the size of the boolits correct for your bore.

I only have a 309 sizer and use Carnauba Red lube so right now the only thing i can change is my lead mix

What is the diameter of the as cast bullets with the present alloy? Have you measured the sized bullet to see if it actually is .309"? Have you considered just quenching the bullets from the mold if you feel a harder bullet is necessary?

I have not cast them yet I have a 50/50 mix in my pot now the last run of boolite that i made up were for my 41 and 44 magnums
that was the mix i used for them so this is what i have ready to go I like to leave my lee pot full and was going to make some
more boolits up for my 44 but now wish to make some boolits up for my 30/30

Are these going to be gas checked? If so, I would let it rip.

Should work fine. I would add some tin (solder, pewter, whatever) to the mix for fillout. If trying to drive to full speed (2000-2200 fps or so) I would go a little heavier on the WW. Carnauba Red is a quality lube. People have been sizing 30/30 to .001" over since it came out with excellent results.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.
The BHN Deformation Formula, and why I don't use it.
How to find and fix sizing die eccentricity problems.
Do you trust your casting thermometer?
    A few musings.

Yes will be G/C I always add about 3% pewter to my mix and no I will not be pushing them fast just looking to hit some steel
    at a 100 yards
    Thank you all

I use Lyman #2 for everything, fit is key, not so much the alloy unless you are really going for speed...

I shoot straight WW PC'D for target with great success. As has been said above .FIT is king. I also shoot pan lubed GC boolits with the same results. These are the upper mid range velocities. For banging steel you would be fine with straight WW and maybe some tin for fill out. YMMV - CASTER
In regards to shooting safety.Until you are ready to fire, keep your booger hook off the bang switch.

Most of my rifle bullets are straight WW + tin. I use 50/50 PC'd for my 45/70.

My 30/30 is gas checked and sized to .309.

I use a 50/50 mix of WW and range scrap for both 30-30 and 303 British. No leading in either rifle shooting at speeds up to 2100 fps.

Same here I 've been using COWW w/ just a bit of Nickel Babbitt ( for the tin ) and Carnauba Red w. gas checks for 25 years in my 30/30, and as a fireform load for my 30-06 A.I. Sized to .309

Unless the bore of your 30-30 is larger than normal you should be fine.

Have you slugged the bore or done a chamber cast on the gun?
