    Should I re-neck size?

I've been using a rechargeable drill to chamfer and debur. It has what I think is a lot of runout, the chuck wobbles some and it is not the holder. I'm using the Lee case length holder and trimmer for length of .308 brass. Should I resize the necks afterwards?

I've got to get another method of turning these.
Most of the tanks are gone and the windows don't rattle anymore. I won't be able to sleep now.

I don't think so. I can't imagine the trimmer changing the neck ID any.

i disgree if its wobbling the pilot on the cutter can open up the necks
check and compare 1 case before trimming with 1 after see if you boolit fit is the same
also if theres a diffence in runout between the 2

Do you feel any resistance on the cutter to indicate it is binding in the case mouth. If it's not binding, it's not changing the case ID/neck tension.

He said it's the chuck that's wobbling. As long as he's holding the cutter and pilot in hand, it should be more or less free-floating. The end of the pilot aligns in the flashhole, and the pilot is in the neck so there should be no runout of the pilot in the case neck.

I don't. i use a little rechargeable screw driver. I have never noticed this run out you speak of. Thanks for reminding me of my Lee trimmer, i want to epoxy that thing into a Pool ball for a better handle.

A half inch crutch tip, cane tip, or furniture leg tip, helps quite a bit:

I use the same thing on .223/5.56 and don't have a problem with neck sizing. As BK7saum mentioned, the cutter and pin move with the chuck, they re free floating and there is no way you can keep it steady enough in your hand for any runout to offsize the neck.

And oh yeah, need to try one of those options gunwonk mentioned!

Running it over a known size expander, or seating a GC boolit, will answer the neck size question.

Checking run-out with something like an RCBS Case Master will answer the wobble part of your question.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.

If the case isn't centered in the case holder it will wobble

Using drill bits I see the wobble too.
