    Lyman GPR in September

I got an e-mail yesterday from Lyman stating it may be September when guns will be available again. My order is back ordered already so I'll just have to wait. Just saying....

That is a pity, but better to wait until they get the breach plug defect worked out than to get one that's defective and risk it failing.

i still think that the GPR is the better offshore trad ml value and worth the wait, indeed.

after assembly and finishing, i sent the barrel to bobby hoyt to ream it to .54, with .012" radius groove rifling and a 1:56 slightly faster patched ball twist. i happen to have an L&R rpl05 lock gathering dust so i installed it as well. the DST seems ok, i need to take it apart and smooth it out a bit, but it'll do fine. ready for range baptizing once the weather breaks a bit for the better.
