Did another time check on casting--PC--sizing

running a Pro-Melt 1 (actually there is no '1' but call the original that since RCBS now has a '2')

cast about 18 lbs of 200gr .45 Colt RNFP approx 625 bullets

did the shake and bake and dump on metal tray to cook

sized them on upside down press with side chute

started 10:30 and finished at 1:15

I'm happy with 2:45 for the entire process was cool today, 60°, so baked bullets cooled off quickly

Sounds like a 6 cavity Lee helped quite a bit in time savings too. You stayed pretty busy.

I will never go back to lube sizing for this very reason. I have coated over 5K 45's on a leisurely paced sunday. Not counting [the astronomically priced Star] no way to do that with a LAMII. .....well, unless you're Robert12345 I bet he could do it! LOL!!!!!!

I got an electric stove for free from a neighbor, so I dedicated it to bullet baking. I am pretty sure I can do over 1500 200gr .45's in an hour. I set it up out in the shop so my better half doesn't think i'm cooking up supper... I LOVE loading these things. Your hands stay nice and clean and they shoot great out of my Glocks. Winner, winner.....

Seems quite productive for one setting. I like it when I get a lot done in the shop. Just wish it happened more often. HaHa congrats

I never cast, coat & size in the same day. Generally cast for an hour or so, that is about 600 bullets using either 4cav molds or 6cav Lee. Then later in the week I coat & size. I can coat 400-500 at one time. Then sizing is upside down ss press with Lee die, 1000 in 45m at a steady pace.
