    Question On Remington Rolling Block #1

    Would it be safe to rebarrel a Remington #1 Remington Rolling Block to 30-40 krag ?

    Not for me. But if you found a #5 smokeless action it could work OK.

    When I ordered my Swedish rolling block my first thought to rebarrel was 35 Krag. After a little more research I decided something from the same time period would be better. I understand the pressure needs to be kept under 28,000 psi.

    Now I'm thinking 38-55, 40-65, 45-70
