    Rusfre

I have part of a gallon of "Rusfre" left over from when I rustproofed my pickup many years ago. Most all of the solvents have evaporated off, leaving a nice light colored grease like substance. Anybody have any idea what's in this stuff? Am wondering if it contains Alox? Was thinking about mixing it with beeswax for a lube. Your thoughts, please.

Call the manufacturer and request the msds sheets and read the cans ingrediants list might give an idea. I believe the old Ziebart mix was alox in a carrier that evaporated leaving the alox coating behind.

There is a Underwood product that is used for rust proofing. As I recall it has a sort of jelly like grease. Tried it, stayed tacky, never tried shooting it. Might try it with the Johnsons Liquid floor wax as that might cure the sticky forever problem.
