    OCONUS Contract work?

    Mods if this is in the wrong section im sorry. please move if so.


    Was tossing around the idea of doing HVAC work for a company like DynoCorp or Academi.

    Question 1. who are all the primary company's that hire for this kinda work? Best? Worst?

    2. would like to do a 90 day rotation with at-least a month home at a time, is this possible?

    3. actual pay seems to vary a lot on how its done, experiences?

    4. would one of these company's or the ones i haven't hear of offer a trial in case i didn't like it?

    every time I looked into doing it everyone wanted a contract signed between you and them.
    they all wanted to max out your days out of country it was generally something like 90 on and 30 off.
    or just enough off you kept your citizenship status current.
    you also need to check on how much you can make OOC before taxes kick in, I believe it and the percentages changed not too long ago.

    I checked into that. Seems you have to be out of the U.S. for 355 days to not pay tax, also if you make over 100k. Then anything you make over that is taxed regardless
