Interesting. The results are impressive; but the loss of all that good powder!!

That would be the best way to get rid of soured, clumped or otherwise suspect powder.

How people come up with this stuff is beyond my comprehension. I couldn’t think of that in a hundred years or a thousand.

He ought to do the same pictures with black powder and a few substitutes to see which is “best.”

Wonder which is better artistically? Cannon Powder like W870/W872, or Barn Burners like Bullseye.Red Dot/etc..

Is Stick Powder better than Ball Powder?

Oh wow that's too cool. I wouldn't think that black powder would work as well...its has a tendency to flash instead of just burn. It looked like a relatively slow burning powder to me....really cool and imaginative.

I made it a point to show my wife, she thought it was kind of cool, and I think it surprised her that it didn't immediately explode. Maybe some people will see this and not be so paranoid about a little powder in the garage.

A friend got a lifetime achievement award from international perforating forum co. (explosives expert in well perforating techniques) that is a metal plaque with artwork formed by his techniques. It is really neat 3D art. I'll see if I can dig up a pic. No, they didn't use gunpowder!
    Whatever!

Back when all the really slow powder was really cheap this would have been better, though I'm betting there is a good proffit in the pictures.

I would be more concerned about the flooring an the heat delaminating it.
