Separating Media From .223 and other small items

Hi y’all. I just picked up a stainless steel wet tumbler, and everything went fine, until I had to get the little pins in one spot, and the BT Simple 22-223 bullets in another spot. How do you guys do it? By the time I got the bullets out, theu were pretty much dry. I was using this screen thing I got from an old air filter. It kinda worked.

I use a dillon media seperator, with water in the bowl instead of the usual media. The steelpins is then picked up with the frankford arsenal magnet

Try it with and without the pins (and add some LemiShine). Compare the results and decide if it is worth the extra time. I gave my pins away to my Dad a long time ago...and he gave up and re-gifted them not long after that. My primer pockets are still plenty clean.

On the Franklin media separator magnet, I'd put a plastic bag (heavy duty baggie or something) around it so it doesn't get nasty from being in the water. Heard that that's a problem for many folks, trying to avoid that

A gold panning “black Sand” magnet by Jobo. Push button to attract “pick up” the pins, release button to drop them.
