I prefer to deprime before tumbling to keep any primer contamination out of my tumbling media.

Shot Shell loading is Not For me. None of the lyman's are set for them. The one with The visible wood handle was my first machine purchased by my father for me @ the Lyman Range Blue Trail in Wallingford Conn. the man behind the counter was one of the Lymans

My wood handle AA also has all 7/8" stations. No shotgun station.

In a way I kinda wish mine were like that... the odd sized hole is pretty much an artifact and I don’t plan to load shot shells on it... I have dedicated presses that do that better. OTOH, if I ever do need to use large dies for something, I guess I will appreciate the capability.

BTW, mine came from the John Amber estate set up with most of a 16 ga loading set... I think that stuff is around here somewhere in a cigar box. I bought the step down bushing and never seriously considered using the press for shot shells. Most of the time I’ve had it “on duty” lately it has loaded 327 Fed Mag.
