That reminds me that I have a large bag of them in the freezer. One of our neighbors grandsons gives us one several times a year. They sure are good.
I use corn flower instead of wheat flower.

There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide. Ayn Rand

Yes! Simple but excellent cuisine. Heck, it will be at least 4 more months before we can get any of size here.

Last batch I did I smoked them slow over an hickory chip fire for several hours. the last hour or so I started coating them in barbeque sauce. They were very good.

Hard to beat when fried...then again, never had them smoked low and slow. Gotta try that sometime.

enjoyed catching and eating them but think that most of the attraction was in the chase

tempura flour or smoked. If I told you how many Frogs I caught and ate in my life you would call me a liar. Grandparents had a big cabin on a river backwater that us kids hunted relentlessly. By the way if you make a slice behind the middle joint they don't move in the skillet
