SOLD This SMITH & WESSON Model 65-5 .357 is the highly desirable 3" barrel model, as this barrel length is the shortest that will ensure removal of the empty cartridges with one stroke of the ejection rod. It is the K-frame size, weighs 31 ounces, unloaded, and has a 6-shot cylinder. It has the heavy barrel configuration, which helps reduce muzzle flip, and the top strap and top of the barrel are frosted to reduce reflections and glare. This model has the hammer-mounted firing pin, whereas later models have a transfer bar. There is no internal lock. The action can be single or double, and the trigger pull and release are very smooth and crisp. The fired round count is 12, target loads, as that is what was required for my CCL qualification course. It comes with a custom-made, RH leather belt holster, made by a gentleman in Wylie, Texas, whose name I can't remember.
