    Shipping Powder

Has anyone experience shipping powder to Hawaii from the mainland?
I have a friend who moved to the big island and I have his powder and want to know if there is an approved method of getting it there.
If I can not find a way then I may be listing it for sale..
    Thanks in advance...

I've looked into that for other reasons, you need to have a commercial contract with UPS and then have training to be HazMat certified to ship powder to HI or anywhere in the USA.

Here is one conversation about it.

UPS will not ship gunpowder to HI or AK, nor any of the territories. All UPS shipments to these destinations require some air transportation, and they will not knowingly accept this commodity.
Do not know how FedEx treats this.

My guess is a phone call or two will answer this question. Possibly calling the vendors of powder and asking about shipping their product might offer a solution. Sell powder local face to face, then use the money to order it from commercial outfit.

My guess is it has to go by ship and might be a little slow. There is at least one member here who is from Hawaii and so somehow or another powder does get there.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
