Am I positively or negatively charged?

I PC’d some boolits the other day and noticed this under the lid of the container I was using.

Buildup where my thumb and blue tape were on the lid surface.

I saw a post where someone posted info about these polymer molecules/chains...IIRC'ly, they have only 2 electrons in their outer valence rings and would be trying to connect up to other molecules that have more electrons in their outer rings that can share orbits...meaning they would be attracted to each other. That would make me think you are 'negative' in respect to the polymer. Only caveat is the plastic container...I've tried scooting my cotton socked feet on a big square of wool carpet while shaking the #5 tub (no affect) also tried swirriling the container while it sat on a piece of the wool carpet, still no affect.
So...Grmps...I ain't got the slightest idea Hows that for no help? Duuuh!

Better than I came up with. Just wondering if anyone else had come across this.

Since opposites attract, I think whatever charge is on the plastic, Grmps must have the same charge.

Positive Charge = the gals he posts pics of in a certain thread. Thus Grmps has a negative charge as he's attracted to them.

Probably just from impact with the lid.

When working on a computer you wear a grounding strap to keep from affecting the componets, so I would say you are positive. Also if you walk across shag carpet and touch a grounded surface you generate a spark.

You are negatively charged due to static electricity that builds on the skin. There are prime static generators and paper is one, carpet and tiles and styrofoam are others the list goes on.

NEVER seen that......even here in the uber-low humidity desert SW.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triboelectric_effect

On the right, it shows that skin is positive along with lead. The plastics and polymers like powder coating are on the negative side. That's why making and breaking contact between the polymer powder and the lead (by shaking) causes them to stick just like taking off a polyester sweater or pullover shirt generates a ton of static electricity on a dry day.

According to that 3 recycle – PVC – Polyvinyl Chloride. .. might work better than the number 5 recycle 5 – PP – Polypropylene. .

I've tried a number of different container materials and so long as it's on the same side of the TE series, it doesn't make much difference. With DT, static electricity is generated when the powder makes and breaks contact with the lead. In really dry conditions, simply massaging a gallon Ziplock bag full of bullets and HF red gives great coverage. In humid conditions, violent shaking of a sturdy #5 container with bullets and powder and ASBB's may still result in marginal conditions, but simple swirling will be pretty ineffective.

    Gee,

I always thought Republicans were positive and Democrats were negative and that Libertarians were neutral with no charge at all!

Some days I'd be glad to have any kind of charge
