New to me Rem. Roller and range report!

I recently traded into anew production circa 1993 or so, Remington rolling block, sporter model made by Remington. It has a 30”tapered round barrel, sliver blade FYI sight, buckhorn rear, pistol grip stock, blond or French walnut stock and forearm with all metal polished and blued. It also has a Seoule long range vernier, with Hadley eyecup w 6 different size peep holes. I took it out and tried it with the peep at 50, then 100 an 175 yds, w cast bullets and Uniqe and blackpowder loads. It shot really well, can share pics if someone can post them for me!

    Very nice.

I think he put dots (black pasters) over the holes to make them show up better in the pictures. Make sense?

Looks like about a 1.5" group at 175 yards and works out to .85 MOA with cast and a peep sight.

**** fine shooting, casting and reloading in my book.

There is a fellow up here in Canada who is selling one of these factory Remington Rolling Blocks right now ... his is serial number 0002 ...

I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!

Chilli willie you are right about the pasters, and guys this ain’t my first rodeo, been shooting cast and Black powder in my rollers for nearly 30 years, and I have shot muzzleloaders in competition for just as long, medaled 31 times st NMLRA events. So far my eyesight and trigger finger is the only two parts that work like they is supposed to!
