    ATN X Sight II

I found this scope through a pig hunting video on this sight, I cant find that post at the moment, but the questions I have been trying to get the company to answer for a month now are basically:

    1. does it work through window glass to see whats coming in?

    2. how temperature sensitive is it?

    3. does it require special mounts?

    4. can it work with cross bows?

    5. what is the view from the viewer end of the scope? traditional scope, or a tiny little postage stamp sized picture show?

Reading up on it, it is a little high def screen in the eyecup, but all your other questions are ones I have as well. Probably gonna buy one for my 300blk and try it out. It seems like an awesome scope and pretty small and lightweight compared to its competition. If I can get one I'll write up a review.

not at night as your IR light would be blocked/defused

    2. how temperature sensitive is it? its not very I have used one from 80 down to about 30 degrees

    3. does it require special mounts? depends on the rifle . On most no

    4. can it work with cross bows? yes

Well I have bad eyes, and an idea of how big the visual is, is somewhat important.

And the multi caliber sight in function had me thinking I could swap it around easily and save serious cash on optics, but the mount question the maker wont answer any question...

if an IR light was outside the window, how then would it fair in the dark? I need something to get back into coyote hunting and that's best done when really cold at night and its much comfier to have the blind window closed till coyote comes in.

And I will hunt below 0* for coyotes when there running, is that going to make the little electronics explode and crack like some cellphones do when left inside an industrial freezer?

If you are able to focus a normal scope for your eyes i see no reason you cant with the ATN 2 .MAKE is the 2 model not the original

As for light outside scope inside looking thru glass still dont think its going to work as said before the scope has to see the ir light
Looking thru glass that would be defused
Dont have mine now went to thermal . costs a lot more but oh so much better

Go to ATN Owners forum and ask this questions . several guys on there can be helpful and would probably test your application

IR typically doesn't pass through window glass (reflected)but will go through some plastic 'glass'. Won't go through auto glass so your car gets really hot (UV gets converted to IR which can't get out).
    Whatever!

Great. Now I have ANOTHER thing on the "Do Want" list! Fun for Coyotes I imagine. Or Raccoons.
