And a couple of other things, too. Mine was a beater grade; my good friend has the nicer one I sold him!
Well, I like it! It's a pretty fine looking specimen now, and it must shoot well if you shoot it a lot.

My "plain vanilla" Sig-Sauer P225 that was "surplused off" by the German Forest Service & that I bought about 2 decades ago to carry as a SC State Constable. = It has never failed me & shoots any sort of 9x19mm ammo that I've tried in it.
(SLED only allowed Constables to carry .38/.357 revolvers or a 9mm that has a capacity of 10 rounds or less. = The P225 holds 9 rounds.)

Very nice. Is that a factory two tone? I never knew they made such a thing.
On the topic of favorite handguns, I have to also mention my Glock 42 and S&W 637. Both are more accurate than my shaky hands can do, especially with reloads. In fact I shoot them just as well as larger guns. Spent some quality time with both this morning and was reminded of this fact. I feel well protected with either one.
Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.
Tough choice. I can narrow it down to 4, but when all is said and done, the one I'd most hate to part with is my Dan Wesson. It is just so versatile, accurate, dependable, and beautiful! These images are of the same gun with different barrels, shrouds, and grips. My fav grip, which I did not post, is the smaller "Traditional" grip, much like the vintage S&Ws.
A few other contenders would be my Freedom Arms 83 in 454 and my Colt 1860 (It's a Colt, but third gen, so some would argue not). And then theres the S&W 500 Mag that my father bought me on a whimI don't have any pics but having a blast shooting it!

I'd really hate to be forced to pick just one...
But I'd likely choose my fixed sight model 714 Dan Wesson revolver.
My favorite length barrel assembly, a 4 inch VH.
So versatile with just a quick barrel swap.
Slap on the 8 inch barrel assembly, and it's scoped.

The P225 [AKA P6] is one of the great "sleeper" pistols. It will function with just about any safe 9mm round that will chamber, they are monotonously reliable and I've yet to see a bad one.
Still new to this forum but been around these "tools" most of my life. This is a slightly modified S&W Mod 686. It was done by Ned Christensen of Michiguns. He made it heavy but as you can imagine, there is almost no recoil. The bbl was huge and he whittled it down to this. He wanted to be able to shoot it from the barricade position in PPC. It's got a trigger stop, lightened hammer for a faster drop. Aristocrat 3-*** rear sight. He even cut a "picatinny" rail into the top of the bbl then contoured it. A dot scope fits on top nicely for Bianchi shooting. I don't think these pics do it justice, but it's what i can do at this point. I am nure these photos will post [ATTACH=CONFIG]216235[/ATTACH]

Lefty, I am very fortunate to have known Ned for about 30 years, over those years he has been a good friend and a great gunsmith. I am lucky to have some of his pieces. He built a .45 pin/plate gun for my wife about 25 years ago and I must admit that it is one of my prized possessions. I used it to shoot Bullseye years ago and shot my first 100 Timed fire in a match with that .45. He is quite the artist. This revolver is absolutely a 1-off. I am confident there is not another out there like this one.
Yep, have one and like it a lot. Handed down from father-in-law. Prices are getting stupid on them again (happens every 15 yrs or so).
