I'll be switching from 20/1 to 30/1 lead in my 45/70 Shiloh. Anyone who has done this, notice any big difference?

I no longer shoot .45-70, as I can no longer tolerate the recoil and consider the cartridge too hungry of powder and lead.

The great majority of my shooting today is with .32-20, .38 Special, .44-40, .44 Magnum and .45 Colt in both rifles and revolvers, and with both black and with smokeless powder.

I have found 1:30 tin-lead entirely adequate for full-charge black powder loads and smokeless loads which approximate full-charge black powder velocities up to 1100 fps in revolvers and 1450 fps in rifles. I don't use gaschecks, and I use soft, traditional lubes with black powder and Lee Liquid Alox with smokeless. No leading issues, accuracy is excellent and game performance better than with the harder alloy.
