If you were to shove a .357 (or ..358) boolit down that bore it should work, correct? I shove.323 down my .318 bore and all stays clean.
I really like the 35 bore and I am always looking for opportunities to use those cute chumpy boolits!

Look twice, shoot once.
IMO yes.
I have 2 9mm's that need big boolits.
One is a Hipoint C9 pistol that keyholed and shot shotgun patterns until I put it on a diet of 125 gr .359 cast boolits. The other is a stub job for a Handi rifle. Converted shotgun barrel with a 9mm barrel threaded inside.
It had the same problem, same solution fixed it.
Now I don't use my lee .356 6 cavity mold. I only use the Lee 125 gr .358.
I run a roughly 50/50 blend of COWW and range scrap with a little Pewter 1-2%.
