    Tasco scope repair

I have a 36X Tasco scope that is giving me fits. It seems that it will not hold zero. By that I mean the scope will enable me to shoot a fairly decent group@ 100 yds and then all of a sudden a flyer 4 to 6" away from the group appears. I changed to a Leupold 6.5x20 to see if the groups tightened and they sure did with no flyers either. So I suspect the scope is not holding zero. Where is the best place to get this fixed? Thanks in advance for any help.--Shuz

Just google "Tasco Scope Repair." Plenty of options, but not necessarily the best ones re warranty or cost.

How old is it ? What model ? If it were mint and working, it might bring $250.

    I'd call Tasco: http://www.tasco.com/pages/repair-and-warranty/
    and see what they think.

IMHO no Tasco is worth fixing, especially with a Leupold available.

Back in the early days when Tasco's were made in Japan, for the money, they were tough to beat!!! The new ones are kind of junky.

Also in the early days Tasco has a scope mount with rings called the World Class scope mount and it's second to nothing and they dropped it. Nobody has picked it up. It was designed in Australia for big game heavy caliber magnum rifles. Sorry I didn't buy a lot of them.

There was a excellent company in Florida called ABO unfortunately the owner has passed away and the company closed it doors.
I as well as a few friends have used them many times over the years.
