    Powder horn with a story

    Found this horn and wanted to rehab it for a priming horn but noticed it had some debris inside . Newspaper heading from 2 NJ and 1 NY paper dated Sept 25 1941 ,still going to get it back in use but did find it interesting bit of local history /Ed

    i think some one used the news paper as a plug for the spout and over the years it got pushed in to the horn. have seen this material used for that purpose in the past. when rolled up very tight it will work for a time.

    I"m thinking if that"s the case (you might be right) there are at least 2 plugs worth !
