    NOE type 3 .32 wadcutter

Has anyone tried this design in .32 long or magnum?

    Like this?

I have done some initial experimenting with them in my S&W Mod 16 in both .32 Mag and .32 S&WL cases. They seem to be shooting as well as HBWC's but I haven't put them in the Ransom rest yet to see how they really shoot. It is a nice mould and a nice little bullet.

In the pic below is an as cast and one that has been coated in HiTek.

my 4 5/8" Single Six loves that little bullet. I load it in .32 H&R Magnum cases over a charge of Bullseye. It shoots very small groups and can bowl a rabbit over with no problem.

I have to expect this boolit to please you. NOE is known for quality mold blocks and mold designs. While I do not have one of his molds I do have this pattern in a Lyman 313492 mold. My mold generates 85 grain boolits with ACWW material. Group accuracy is better than I can generate with a short barreled fixed sight revolver, but the Single Six proves it is a keeper. The boolit groups tight in both Long and Magnum brass, given an appropriate powder charge. At this lighter weight the boolit is a candidate for the 32 S&W (short) case. I assembled some of these for a friend who has a pocket revolver chambered for the short cartridge, named the loads Mighty Mite. He got a giggle out of that. This boolit pattern groups as well as, if not better, than a NEI 105 grain WC mold I have. All things said, this design is a keeper.
