I am loading for an 1873 Uberti 32-20. My barrel slugs .311", so I would assume that .312" will be my diameter that I need. I have shot some bullets that I got that were 115gr, .313" diameter, were plain base, have 1 lube groove and a crimp groove. Both the 312 and 313 leaded my barrel, the 313 was worse than the 312. The bullets chronographed 1575 to 1640 fps, so part of my problem could be too fast for non-gas checked. I would really like to try some variation of the lyman 311008 mold bullets, they have 2 lube grooves and no crimp groove, but have a driving band. I would try to crimp on the driving band leaving both grooves with lube?? NOE makes a clone mold that is 314008, I do have both 313 and 312 sizing dies, so even 314 or 315 would be ok.
Let me know if you have a mold or bullets that I could buy.
