    win 92 safety remove

What would I have to do to put the blank off piece in the tang and put the hammer back to the half cock notch?

    thanks kurt

    .

After the tang safety mechanism is removed, the recess in the tang for the safety button can be filled in myriad ways, like attaching a filler piece via soldering, welding (both of which would require a re-finishing to the receiver) or epoxying.
The welded piece can be re-finished so that the alteration's invisible, the soldering/epoxy less so.

To change the rebounding hammer to a half-cock version, the lockworks would need to be replaced with Browning or Rossi Model 92 parts, altering the hammer for function, and ideally replacing the inertia firing pin with a full-length FP, ala the original Winchester Model 1892's.
