    Action recycling $0.75/lb

    Can land $0.80/lb.

    I'm not familiar with the lead situation in your area but you might consider putting a want to buy ad in one of the local papers or on Craigslist. Find out what the local scrap yards pay and offer a little more. Try to acquire an old scale for this purpose and a collection of plastic buckets. Try to learn as much as you can about the different types of scrap lead.

    Thanks for the edit hint.

    I have been casting for 35+ years and have studied various alloys. I now use 6%:2% exclusively.

    I usually offer $0.05 over the local recyclers to private sellers.

    SEAFAB in Casa Grande was getting $1.00 for alloy and $1.10 for pure 3-6 month ago-

    You have to check with them weekly or monthly because the tin prices float all over the price scale , the lead was unchanged for years - but the tin Jeesh...
