Ruger ARR 450 bushmaster & VS Fury Custom 350g bullrt

I wanted some heavy 0.452" bullets to try in my 450 BM ARR. So i contacted Dennis (CB vender sponsor) at Fury Custom bullets and a short while later I had 1.1" long .452" JSP bullets to work with. These bullets are too long to fit a black gun bushmaster magazine, which is fine because they are too hot as well. These loads are safe in my bolt gun.

I was able to duplicate factory 250g ftx velocity with a 350g bullet. Accuracy exceeds the factory round, submoa at 100 yards with a best 3-shot group of 3/8". When the snow melts I plan to shoot 200 yard groups. The BC of the Fury bullet is 0.32 which is a lot better than the 0.21 of the ftx bullet, so I am expecting decent range from this overgrown pistol bulletClick image for larger version.

That's some pretty good shooting there BB but I always get a crik in my neck looking at your pictures! Uncle D sure makes some good bullets too.

    HT,

You think that 350g Fury would be good hog medicine?
