The best thing to do is to get your barrel fitted for screw in tubes. The Poly also is vented like your Weaver.

This is what I would do:

Polychoke's website is TU, so no idea whether they are still going. The Ported polychoke pictured above is an option; the standard is not ported. I'm a fan. They work well up to about Improved Modified. Tighter than that, patterns with mine are poor. I think the short sharp taper afforded by the mechanism of constriction is the reason. But from Cyl through IM, I find it works well and is very convenient.

However, as M-96 suggests, provided there is sufficient barrel thickness, I would suggest having your barrel threaded for chaoke tubes. I can recommend Mike Orlen, who has done this for two different barrels for me. As far as I know, this 2005 price sheet is still in effect. Turn around was quite fast both times.

When I bought my M-12 (12 gauge) used in 1968, it came with a poly choke installed. Never cared for it. Looked into having choke tubes installed and was told there wasn't enough steel thickness. I ended up purchasing a new modified barrel from Numerich Arms and had it installed. Kept the original serial numbered barrel for posterity.
