    Uberti Burgess rifle ??

    Any one here shooting a Uberti (Colt ) Burgess rifle ,,what problems have you had (having ) with it ?? Just curious I hear FP are (were ) the biggest issue with them ??

    Yes, mine imported by Taylor. No problems other than a very rare short stroke in fast action cowboy shooting, which is my fault. The empties eject pretty much straight up and are easier to find than my Marlin 1894 44. My 2 loads are Lee’s 200 TLFP bullet with 4.8 grains 700X for cowboy action shooting and Lyman’s 454190 250 grain sized to 454 with 9 grains unique for 100 and 200 steel plate shooting.

    Sure is a pretty little rifle. Shorter action than the 1873, and years ahead in styling. No wonder that it spooked Winchester.
