Companies would go bankrupt quickly if they made Star presses today like the originals

You are probably Correct, Star today Is currently making parts to match originals. They are Taking Order on New machines. Companies are interested in cheap items for loaders. . they know there stuff will not last or interested in longevity. they Know most Loaders are Cheap and will not pay like other Sports. So why make anything so called Good

The Star press has always been a standard of quality. I have one in 38spc and one in 45acp. Still like them better than any other press. Your right about fine machine work 50 years and still working perfect.

I have 2 of the universals with heads for 45, 357, 9mm and 44 mag. I go on some auction sites a lot to buy others.

    Well,
I am diminished. I only have five...but I have six extra head assemblies. Currently load 38/357, 9mm, 45 ACP, 45 Colt, 44 Spl/44Mag, am working up a die set for 41 Mag and 32ACP. Also have die sets for the .223 and 30 Carbine. All have case feeders, two have custom made indexers.

In the 80's I collected machine guns...the Stars got a lot of work then...now, not so much.

The Star is a machine work of art. all parts are machined to perfection., All machines work the same . If it Breaks you broke it. I have 7 // 38 wads, 38 semiwad/38 Rn, 38S&w, 32 S7W, 45acp, 9mm.
None of my machines have any attachments , no case feed, no boolit feed. just a smooth Dual hand movement. Sure other are good or faster But there is only one Star.
