    Why I'm crazy....

    Just figured it out.

I have 5 moulds that produce 6 different .30 caliber boolits.
I can lube them or powder coat them.

    I have 6 different 30/30's.

I have 7 different gunpowders suitable for 30/30.

    That's 504 variations.

And we haven't even started to calculate powder charge
    combo's, primers, brass.......

Yes, possible combinations seem to increase exponentially. I have 5, 10ga., SXS shotguns for which I load 4 different non toxic shot types in various amounts. I also load lead for them in weights from 1 1/8 to 2 oz.. I don't shoot steel at all. I don't know how many different powders I have that could be used but it is a lot. I tell people, "I might be crazy but I'm not stupid".

As I read it the conditions described are at a conflict with the thread title.

How about 38/357. Couldn’t tell you how many molds I have for them. Not going to count either.

Yes, you are crazy. Normal, sane folks only have 4 30/30 rifles. I guess I better get shopping!

    And the problem is.....?

I think I have you beat. Keep telling myself I'm gonna go through all my molds and get rid of all but a couple per caliber, but that hasn't happened yet.

A guy can never have too many powders on hand. And the .30-30 is one caliber rifle that can be an easy obsession as well.

I feel you. My .270 is my baby. I still have my base 3 different powders to work up loads for in 4 different calibers. I plan on adding 3 more guns and 2 more different powders to experiment with in all guns. As well as powder coating and paper patching. Lifes to short, the days are too short and there aren't enough hours in a day. Work keeps getting in the way of my hobbies.
